Flowering Heart Archive

History

The year was 2020, the entire world loses its mind and decides to shut everything down over what would turn out to be a cold. The currently airing Healin' Good Precure goes into a 10 week hiatus (the site banner is from the exact episode the show got stuck on), leaving fans with nothing but old episodes and literal puppet shows uploaded to youtube and instagram. It wasn't enough, and much like a drug addict without his usual poison, I sought out an alternative. Someone on /pc/ offhandedly mentions Flowering Heart, a show that is often colloquially referred to as "korean precure", despite not being all that comparable. Regardless, I gave it a try and I was quickly hooked. I watched through all of season 1 in short order and had a blast, even if I did have to switch over to the english dub due to half of the season not getting subbed.

When I saw that season 2 had not been translated at all, I had assumed that it would only be a matter of time until it was; the last video made for the series was published in 2019, so it seemed like a reasonable assumption at the time. I managed to stumble on japanese subs for the show hosted on Nico Nico Douga, but I really didn't want to constantly pause the video to read JP subs, as it's just not a fun way to watch a show. So I simply waited, putting it out of my mind, Healin' Good would eventually come back and cure my depression.
